With the final components for our streaming setup arriving, we visited Twitch Japan to receive some advise from the professionals!
I'd like to say that I'm decently educated when it comes to building PC, but streaming components were something completely new to me. I didn't want to risk buying something unnecessary to our project...

*We're going to be borrowing the camera and mobile studio pro from one of our generous staff for the initial run.

I believe we've got the bare-bones prepared at this point, but I'm going to need to educate myself with XSplit and audio IF a bit more before we go live.
We're a bit behind schedule, but we should be able to stream during September still. Hopefully we'll be able to provide streaming date/time in our next update!

**A shout-out to Loutlot of Twitch for all your help!
I'm probably going to bug you for the foreseeable future...

I think more and more people use OBS these days since it's better in a lot of things. And It's free

Xsplit is great and easy... tell me what is the camera you are using? A Sony? any photos from the Twitch office in Japan?

Anonymous

Yea, I also thought OBS was the standard for streaming

It's always nice to get updates on the setup process. Never really thought of all the equipment/software that is necessary to host a decent stream.

TRIGGER

We usually don't allow photos when we have visitors at our studio, so I thought it was courtesy not to take any... It was a really nice place in Ginza though!

Feedfancier

Use OBS and Restream to multistream on Twitch, Picarto, YouTube and whatever else streaming service you know of.

Can't wait for the streams! I'm sure once you start streaming, the community will be there to help iron out any issues/give tips on improving your stream- So don't worry too much about being perfect right away :]

TRIGGER

I guess OBS is the popular option. We'll give XSplit a try and see if it'll work out first.

Multistreaming means they won’t be able to be partnered with Twitch or YouTube though, so if revenue is the goal they’d best stick to one or the other.

If I had Twitch Account and JUST installed TWITCH app, when are you going to notify us the livestream?

I never realized so much work went into streaming. What's the name of the stand you guys are using to prop the Mobile Studio on in the second picture? It looks convenient.

Anonymous

You guys got some fancy stuff going on there! I'm excited to watch this stream.

I would love to see trigger adapt the manga DeadDeadDemonsDededeDestruction!! by Inio Asano. I think trigger is the perfect studio to take on a story of that magnitude.

Indeed it is, and I highly suggest Streamlabs OBS instead of the standard one, I find it to work much better for streaming :P

You are gathering TEN THOUSANDS of dollars, and still haven't even managed to stream even once? Sad. Count me out.
