A long overdue explanation. (Patreon)

Hello fellow patreons, and followers. I know that this game was resurrected this time last year, to be put back into production. But it was declared that this would be on a part-time basis. A key factor that a lot of people overlooked, or didn't understand. They thought being back meant being back at full force, no matter how many times we reiterated"part-time." 

That said, we knew it was going to be slow going, but not this slow. Now here are the major contributors to our slow progress. The first was a desire to have larger updates instead of smaller ones. This was a mistake. What we should have done is smaller updates more frequently. Their was some concern that we would only have added five minutes worth of material at that point, so we just went ahead and tried to play the long game. 

However Scarlett Ann's lack of production also drastically slowed us down. I know she had a severe case of the flu not too long ago, and that is completely and totally understandable. But the months before that, I don't know if she had too much on her plate, or was just burned out. But it would take weeks to get one pic. And well...that hurt us. Not to mention our current animator, Sijix, just up and left. So after his departure it took us a while to find someone else within budget. Sijix did send me an email about six months later, wondering if he could come back to work, but by that time we had already hired someone else. So I had to politely decline. 

Look, you guys can put all the heat on me if you want to. But the truth, the real truth is, there is plenty of blame to go all around. Anyway, this upcoming update will be the last update for Prince of Suburbia as far as I am involved. If Omega ever wants to try his hand at it again, more power to him. 

So now what? Well I was informed by my programmer, Polisummer, that instead of Ren'Py V0.25 will be made in Visual Novel Maker. That means that it can be played in browser, therefore you will be able to find it on Newgrounds or wherever. That said, he is a freelance programmer and he will get to Prince of Suburbia once some other tasks are finished and out of the way. He will also be adding in a gallery and animation updates. A little something extra special for all of you who have followed us and supported us. So thank you very much for hanging in there with us. 

Also, I will be stopping pledges so that no one else will get docked come the first of March.
