Emotions are great airplane passengers—but horrible pilots.

Debt doesn’t drain only your bank account; debt drains your freedom.

Acceptance is nice, but needing acceptance is a prison.

Gift-giving is no more a love language than pig Latin is a Romance language.

Letting go is not something you do; letting go is something you stop doing.

Simplify to be free, not to be a “good minimalist.”

Judgment is a mirror that reflects the insecurities of the judge.

Keep the t-shirt and mend the hole - it looks fairly easy to mend by hand. Throughout history (and pre mass-clothing production), people mended clothing all the time so they could keep wearing it. People also used to value clothing much more because it took so much more work and effort to make it entirely by hand - from growing the plants, processing the fibres, hand spinning the threads, hand weaving the cloth, and then hand sewing entire garments. So - they would literally wear it, cut it up and re-use it somewhere else, or as a final resort, tear it up and use the rags for other purposes before they would throw anything away.

It’s nice to have opposing POV’s but Ruslan’s take on Eckhart is more of a bastardization and generalization of New Agey concepts. Tolle and The Secret are two very different things. He wouldn’t teach anyone to manifest the future by making vision boards and visualizing your desired future. He’s all about just being in the present moment.
