What I chuckled at during this podcast was every time Christopher would say 'I don't have a parenting style. But this is how we live....." well, then THAT'S your parenting style. Joshua trying to explain to Christopher how Joshua is an introvert and likes his alone time and doesn't need a lot of people interaction, made my skin crawl. I couldn't help but feel as though Joshua was saying "I live like this. You live like that. Good for me. Good for you." A d Christopher's response; in a nutshell, was "you're wrong. You need people interaction." Joshua is Joshua's best compass, not someone else telling him he needs something he knows will just stress him out in the end.

Also as an introvert you kind of need people and interactions, just not in the same amount. I did not get the idea that Chris was saying that it is a must.

If it were a must to the level Chris was talking about wouldn't we enjoy it more? Just because our long ago ancestors did it and were wired that way, doesn't mean we need to do it.

Personally, I didn’t feel that kind of energy coming from Christopher, but actually a genuine appreciation from both individuals on each other’s lifestyles. I never felt like I was being prescribed any particular way to live my life, but just a new perspective on how someone finds peace.
