Emily, your sincerity and desire to shift is commendable. You’ve done so much hard work already, congrats! I see you liked the suggestion of a Murphy bed. Which had me thinking about how important creativity is to life’s sense of wholeness. Being able to express our creativity is elemental these days, at least for me. I’ve been watching small space design videos that give me inspiration and allow me to envision my space differently, using what I already have. For instance, I just repainted a clock I have in gold using a small bit of paint. Now I love it and have since added a few more dabs of gold in my space to make it feel refreshed and fun (a picture frame, a plant pot). We can make small changes to what we have that allow us to feel both creative as well as honor our desire to not add more or replace things. Just a thought.
