MAXIMS

Simplification is a process, not a destination.

Starting small is the opposite of not starting at all.

Simplicity is a matter of rhythm, not results.

Do things that don’t require you to be done.

Whenever you reach the horizon, a new horizon appears.

It is not love if you are not willing to walk away.

Cultural clutter appears when one’s culture gets in the way of one’s peace.

An obligatory gift is more of an obligation than it is a gift.

Loved the conversation w/ Griffin House around not needing to strive for “bigger and better” and focusing on more of the “why” when it comes to careers (and that can easily translate to anything else). In a world where others strive for the money/fame, it’s good to be reminded that you can put out your best work without aiming for that and still be successful while making a lasting impact on someone else. I feel this in my own life (now that I’m almost 30) and have been making steps to pursue a career that’s more meaningful and full-filling to myself. Never too late y’all!
