Sasuke is just eating these punches xD when you mentioned the police academy I immediately thought of the movies, such a classic :D Itachi and Sasuke were really sweet together as kids :) it is rough having a sibling thats so amazing :P love how they are slowly revealing things here, planting seeds, giving hints :) the dialogue is brilliant in this part, Itachi especially has amazing lines :) Fugaku is like that typical old school strict dad who gives you the tough love :D fun fact Fugaku is another name of Mt. Fuji :) love hearing your thoughts :)

That's why I hope she watches a few of the semi-canon filler arcs in Naruto before starting Shippuden. No need to watch all of the filler, but no need to rush through everything either. Take the time to love these characters and experience their ninja world. :)

I think people really don't take enough consideration into the mental and spiritual torture he has endured. Sasuke has seen more than most people at his young at in thie point in time. He also has a certain level of pride, which is why he always belittled Naruto. Sasuke was always the serious cool guy, and Naruto was the silly goofy kid that was always for a loss. After so many events, and Orochimaru manipulating things from afar, Sasuke comes to realize that he will not gain the power he needs/wants to take down his brother, which is actually true. Also consider that Sasuke is very young. A child no less. You can't expect a child to make adult rational decisions particularly considering what he has been through.
