You're forgetting that Gaara's father is the Kazekage. So he did try and kill him. But next episode should clear up certain things.

you know Gaara is pretty messed up when he is claiming the kill on his mom even though she simply died during childbirth :P poor Pakkun is just caught in the middle of all this :D props to Sakura for putting her life on the line :) safe to say Gaara is suffering from some serious PTSD :P the scene between him and Yashamaru in the house is so sad and sweet at the same time, Gaara trying to understand pain and Yashamaru trying to help him and comfort him :) also the way they described the sand was awesome :) Gaara was just trying to help him putting the finger into his mouth, you know sucking on the wound to speed it up :P its nice to see the old dogs, Gai and Kaakshi, getting some action too :D poor Gaara he just doesnt get the love he needs :P now we finally see what the Kazekage looks like without his attire, he does resemble Gaara a bit :) also looks really grumpy :D you were right it did destroy him, Yashamaru was the final straw, that reveal just hurts your soul :P Gaara just doesnt bother with killing Sakura cause she isnt really interesting right now, there is a more worthy prey :) ye they didnt say it directly but based on their dialogue its revealed that Gaara's mother was his sister so he is his uncle :) now its very hard to fault Gaara for being the way he is :D I absolutely love his story, they do a great job of making us empathizing with him and understanding him as a character, he has a super tragic story, but it all makes him a great character :) no you the best! :D see you next time :)
