I hated my last name. It’s a word that Americans of a certain age laugh at. And it is my dads name, and walked out when I was 3 months old so WTF. Most women (at least in the Olden Days) aren’t too attached to their family name bc they expect to get married and change it, heck I know women who’ve done that 2-3 times ( like my mom).

anyway… when I was 30 I decided my 1st half of my life would be the name I was given and the 2nd half would be a name I chose. Or it chose me. Hired a lawyer, went to court, boom. I’ve had ths5 name for 20 years now.
