Amidst the mischief of the village, Redd encounters a trick she was not quite expecting

-I really like that we start from a distance, like in Redd Sanctified. -Blackberries and honeycomb are a good gift. -I like the asides that imply more stories, more living, like ‘break in comfortably’ and ‘deities I have personally come into contact with.’ -Really like putting a fine point on the perception of protection (the villagers with the masks) with ‘I will always be a predator.’ -The whole ‘portrait never painted’ section is very nice. -Is there actual danger in them being heard? Redd Remade made it feel like there was, but here we go from ‘let the world know’ to Wulf wanting to leave so he doesn’t ‘endanger’ her. -I really like that Granny is a crossover character. The pack is attached to Wulf and the woods, the girl from the village is attached to the village. But Granny has range, and potentially quite a bit of knowledge. And that’s interesting.

It's wonderful how Wulf brings Redd lavender---representing purity, devotion, serenity, grace, calm, and love. In Buddhism, it also represents the crown chakra and a spiritual connection. I love these glorious bits of symbolism you sprinkle throughout your writings. 😊
