Had a thought after listening again...for anyone who found it jarring or awkward to follow, would it have made a difference for each voice to be in a separate ear via the binaural mic?

Oooo, that's a wonderful idea. The romantic in the right ear to stimulate the left brain (language, abstract thinking) and the primal in the left ear to stimulate the right brain (intuition, emotion). That could really increase the intensity of the listening experience.

This is interesting—I took the split voice to be a narrator and a character, but that’s not quite it. It does mean we get a full description of her being caught and fighting back, which is nice. I’m curious to see where you take this idea/style. I like the contrast of the ‘urgency that eroded your understanding of where you are,’ when we started with these ‘woods you know.’ There’s something about the title that really works. Stand or Run—because even if she isn’t running (stutter step, pivot) she wouldn’t fully stand (she’d crouch). Run vs stand is movement vs non-movement. So she’s still choosing run whenever she’s moving, including when she’s pinned and kicking.
