January Update and Poll (Patreon)

Hello everyone. I wish you lots of love, laughter and endless joy into the new year. I'll be doing a status update in this post and follow up on project wips and news. I hope to give a clearer picture of what's to come.

1. The New Year mod

Earlier, I posted a teaser of a mod that was supposed to be released on the eve of 2022. The mod is actually ready since the 3rd of January. Copyright claims released, permissions granted, everything except for one. I am just waiting for one more party to give their final green light. With that, I'd like to apologise for the unexpected delay. I'll now know from this experience to include a lot of buffer time when working with multiple parties. On the plus side, I've already diverted my attention to other projects since this mod is done. I will post it as soon as I get the ok!

2. Salsa

We're back to Salsa this month and I'm excited to incorporate more moves into the routine. I'd like the dance to be at a point where sims have so many moves to choose from that the animation varies significantly even if it were the same interaction.

You might remember an update from mid-late last year that I received a donated mocap suit (Thank you so, so much!) What happened was that due to the pandemic, the company didn't have enough resources to ship it out so I never received it. Recently I received this email:

I know it says shipping in the second half of January so I'll only likely receive it in February. I shouldn't get my hopes up but I just can't contain my excitement. I'll follow it closely once it ships and provide regular updates as much as I can. Until then, I hope you like my hand animation skills. ^_^

3. How do you play Sims 4? (Poll)

What I love about Sims is that there is no right way to play. Do you do gameplay only? Or are you a storyteller? Do you use pose/animation packs, or strictly mods only? Personally, I'm a half-and-half so I use both mods and posepacks. Do share how you play so I know what kind of content to share.

Side note: Are you interested if I were to convert some existing dances for kids?
