What a way to start off a new season right? The improvements in the animation, the already solid writing, and even the evolution of the characters like how they’re all a bit more comfortable in themselves. Locked in, and hungry to play again. As a team. And Hinata out here with no fear. Now for notes: I can totally get the confusion you’re feeling. There are two National tournaments a year. The Interhigh National which we saw last season and now the Spring National which Karasuno is preparing for now. As for the All Japan/under 19 Youth Japan representative stuff, essentially it’s saying Ushijima is so good that he is apart of Japan’s Youth World Team. Think like, Olympics. He’s a very unique character for sure and it’s so cool that you picked up on him being very direct and not just like cocky or mean-spirited. This season really dials it up in terms of symbolism. The good catch, the eagle is Shirotorizawa’s team symbol. So, we have a volleyball meetup to look forward to with Neko and a few other teams and now that you’ve already met Liev, I’m excited to see your reaction to his meeting with Hinata. Not to mention what you’ll think of some of the other new faces. Second season reactions are here and I’m pumped

So if a school did not go through/lose the matches in the last season they can still go to the Spring Tournament? I'm currently under the impression that the top school won so I'm confused with their involvement in the spring tournament. I thought they now had a spot in Nationals lol Thank you for the Olympic comparison that helps tons! So there is the school Kageyama wanted to attend and then a separate team especially skilled kids from what I am understanding?
