The hype is real! Haikyu really changed the game in terms of sports anime. So much so that, to call it just a sports anime kind of really sells it short. That said though, to give a bit more clarity with the libero situation, the libero position is a solely defensive position. They have certain restrictions like not being able to spike/score on the front line. Now, as they mentioned a bit already, the team members on the court rotate clockwise everytime they regain possession of the ball. The team that’s serving is the team that has possession. So, once the libero rotates to the front row they get substituted out and once their sub makes it back to the back row, they come back in. Another way to look at it would be that you’ll essentially never see a libero play the front row or serve. Hope that helps some!
