The full video for "Encounter with Hachishaku-sama" is now available!

I know this is very late for Halloween but I decided to make a bit of a "horror/scary" type video of course with a gts/size twist and I thought Hachishaku-sama or the 8-feet tall woman would be a great theme for it.

Each having their own theme with it always being so refreshing to see what new creative endeavor you've been building up. The push to a more horror orientated scenario certainly took me out of my comfort zone with an added mixture of mystery and tension. The sound effects, seemingly several choice new ones from your usual retinue, really helped build and sell the creepy atmosphere. Albeit the resounding comforting sound of two jugs may have still been just as detrimental to my composure, helped keep my fears somewhat alleviated. There’s just something so memorizing on how such small movements bob them to and fro with ease. Wait, I ‘m supposed to be scared. Whoops…I mean, ahhh! I loved the small subtilties in transition such as the shrinking sound effect being heard before the fade to black. I like to think of the setup and payoff from scene to scene in the way it allows the viewer to fill in the blanks with their imagination in what sets their own unique expectation of what is to come. There really is a lot to be said of managing expectations and utilizing the imagination of the audience. It’s often in absence of knowledge that we tend to over inflate the hypothetical and, in this genre, make the entire act that much more exhilarating. The opening shot, thereafter, continues with this theme while the zoom out finally reels in our drift. I feel that your videos always excellently execute this form of thrill and make that curtain rise ever so much more potent and what a curtain to have unveiled with such a daring position. The background sounds used in the final few moments really were reminiscent of summer as I recall many a JP Visual Novel, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. I felt right at home, and it was a lovely feeling of nostalgia. It really captured a small-town type of feeling. With that we’ve come full circle, so the cycle continues! I couldn’t have wished for a better way in which to end this off. It truly had that horror type cliché “The End?” while the focus on the lips with no sound gave that feeling of continuity and I could audibly fill the gap in myself, which was a nice touch. While closing off before yet another word was uttered was a lovely nod to how this all started in the first place, and you know once it's heard your fate is sealed! It just goes to show what power the mere absence of something can have. Thanks for the very thematic video and it may be a late Halloween but that doesn’t mean the spooks stop! Else I can think of a few ghost/mystery hunters that will be out of work for a good portion of the year (・ω<)☆
