There are quite a lot of ways mass transportation can be achieved through magic. The Portkey magic could be used to developer teleportation of a group of people over long distances. There is the connected magical cabinets that could be expanded and developed. Maybe the floo network is also a strong contender.

However, I know many of you like trains. I'm also a lover of trains but we've to keep things realistic as laying tracks is an impossible task for the present Westerosi population. They don't have enough technological advancements, no skilled labour, lack of labour as Westeros is heavily an agrarian state. The geography also poses a great threat to the whole venture.

So, the options that I present are extensions of existing technology with some magic involved.

Airships means flying war galleys.

My first choice if it was irl would be Flying Carpets but an Airship in Westeros? Hell Yeah!!!

Are airships and zeppelins not the same? Or is there a more like abstract steampunk-ish design you had in mind for us to imagine?

Zeppelin is a long cylindrical floating ship that looks like a U-boat. The airship I mentioned is a flying war galley. I explained that in the description.

Zeppelins can actually be made with purely science, what i think you mean is hot air balloons that act like Zeppelins. Also i would expect for him to do the vanishing cabinet as WELL as the airships since they are much scarier in use, INSTANT travel to different locations while the other can move large numbers of people and objects. Hope that the airships can be the "Public" use thing that everyone knows about and he has the rune made doorways of the vanishing cabinets as a private secret for him and his family.

Airships sounds amazing and not something I've seen before in this category. I always liked Portals, like the one into Diagon Alley or even Platform 9 3/4. I guess Vanishing Cabinets are a more portable form of Portals? But I've seen Portals done before, so I'm very excited to see airships. Although I'm not sure how they'd fare against Dragons. Although in the anime Drifting Dragons on Netflix they use heavy Airships to hunt Dragons for oil and meat, so that could be inspiring.

brooms were used because it could be easily hidden as a non magical item found everywhere. mayby you should continue in the same vein, and use a shield as a flying instrument. or a wierwood staff.

Airships are always welcome. But I'm going to suggest vanishing cabinets, they have so much potential it's crazy. Moving goods, traveling, smuggling, to cross the world or kingdom in a bind of the eye, magic teleporter, highly under used. Could be incorporated with Airships to develop trade routes, resupply on the move, quick deliveries, just the tip of the iceberg.
