The fate of Cedric Diggory (Patreon)

In the Harry Potter books, Cedric Diggory becomes Harry's friend but ultimately dies at Voldemort's hand. He is one of the first victims of the second wizarding war. 

In TLC(The Lion Cub), Cedric has failed to procure the Golden Egg in the First Task as Harry never told him about the Dragon. While Harry's intention is to keep Cedric out if harm's way, the unintended consequence is that they never became friends. 

As such, Cedric's fate is in the wind.
