I've not given any spots from the North, the Iron Islands, Dorne and the Vale in the poll. The North is too poor and short on food to sustain a dragon. The Iron Islands is a hostile area and dreary. Dorne will kill Aegon, and no one at this point is ready for another disastrous Dornish war. The Vale already has Daemon staying at Runestone.

Fairmarket in the Riverlands

Fairmarket is a town in northern Riverlands with a bridge across the Blue Fork. It's a good position to raise a castle. A lot of trade goes through the town. But it's too crowded for dragons to nest. Aegon will have to find alternate lodgings for his dragons. But its a good place to raise a castle and expand quickly.

Bloodstone in Stepstones

Bloodstone is the largest island among the Stepstones. It has high strategic value for the Free Cities and Westeros. Whoever controls Bloodstone can theoretically control the trade in Narrow Sea if they have a sizeable fleet. Aegon can be a king in his own right if he so wishes. The Free Cities would never allow a Targaryen to possess it if they could help it. So, war with a bunch of slavers is a guarantee.

The Whispers in the Crownlands

It's an old castle which has been in ruins for thousands of years. It's on the northern shore of Crackclaw Point. Having this spot allows Aegon to build a port city if he is sufficiently funded by the Iron Throne. It'll also galvanise the Calwmen to support Aegon. He could gain a strong influence on the entire region because of his royal status. This area has the staunchest Targaryen loyalists.

Isle of Faces in the Riverlands

This is an uninhabited island at Gods Eye. The myth is that the Green Men live on this island, but no one has seen them. This island contains a lot of Heart Trees and is a sacred place of the Old Gods. It's sufficiently isolated and Aegon would have to build up everything from scratch. But because it's less populated building a nest for dragons would be easy.

Summerhall in the Stormlands

The original Summerhall was built by Daeron II. Its location is in the Dornish Marches. It does not exist, but Aegon or his descendants could build a castle near the area and use it to launch an attack on Dorne in case a war happens.

Dunstonbury in the Reach

It's the old seat of House Manderly before they were exiled from the Reach by the Gardner Kings. The castle was given to House Peake, but they already had other castles, so it could be in ruins or even disrepair. Its location is in the Dornish Marches in the Reach.

Near the gold road in the Westerlands

A new castle along the gold road near the Western Hills close to Deep Den. It's a major trade route. Aegon could safeguard the gold road and chase away any bandits. He could also keep the Reach and the Westerlands in check in case of any rebellions. However, he'll have to build a castle from scratch though.

Die-long

I think he should get Harrenhal. It is centrally located, it’s near a source of great magic the Isle of Faces, in which he could collect weirwood & hearttree resources. With magic he could repair and improve and upgrade it. And I think it’s even bigger than Hogwarts, which would be a bonus if he wanted to turn it into something similar.

Frozenfang

Even if he does succeed in conquering Bloodstone, he would be making an enemy of Dorne, Lys, Myr, Tyrosh, Velaryons, and Volantis. Watch out for assassins. It only takes one.
