This livestream was over 3 hours long.
During this time we've made a dubstep drop, an intro for it and synthesized all sounds using Surge 1.8 (nightly build) inside Ardour 6.5.
Surge has some exciting new features coming up, and in this stream I've synthesized drums, bases a clavichord, and...
laser farts.
Huge thanks to everyone who has submitted their music, and to everyone who have joined me for the party. I hope you've enjoyed it at least as much as I did, even though there's been plenty of technical problems before and during the stream (like the A/V sync being off for whatever reason, after I've corrected that live, it went south again later in the stream).
I've been streaming from a temporary location, due to a makeover taking place at my usual location. I've been doing some tests, and it turned out OBS suddenly became extremely picky about H.264 encoding settings for streaming, and would drop 90-100% of frames if I didn't set it *just right*. Not fun. Also right before the stream started I've been working to hook up my phone as an additional camera fro the intro/outro sequences (as I always do) - this time however as soon as I connected that to OBS, it would crash, and I had to disable ethernet on my home studio machine, then I could start OBS, remove the offending sources and enable networking again. I've ended up opening the phone camera stream in Firefox and capturing that from another virtual desktop into OBS - doing it directly in OBS was a no go.
I'd love to report these bugs, but I think I've got too much other work to do already, so I'm writing down this log for future reference in case I'll need it. Though I hope they'll fix this mess soon... I've never had so many problems with OBS...
Anyway - as always you can download the final Ardour 6.5 project, take it apart and learn or remix and make it your own. The attached files are released under CC-0 1.0 international license.
