The long-awaited complete MIDI Tutorial for Ardour is currently in editing / post production.

Since it's probably going to take me a good while to complete the editing, as the amount of recorded footage is enormous (over 5 hours, 60 GB total - I had to program a special proxy footage generation an handling script for myself to do edit this) - I've decided that I will release the progress in chunks to my supporters, so they can learn and benefit from this before I manage to finish the complete cut of the whole... film. Because it's pretty much going to be a tutorial film.

Here's the first part, where you'll learn about MIDI tracks, Ardour preferences, recording MIDI and working with Playlists.

I am going into all the detail, but also trying to keep it as streamlined and non-boring as possible.

Please let me know if anything feels off to you. I am not sure if I should include the "pre-intro sequence" in the final version for example. I'd love to hear your feedback.

I want to thank you for your patience and ongoing support - this is a huge project, but everything tells me it's a very much needed one and hopefully will help a lot of people to get into Ardour and use it's MIDI to it's limits. I've learned a lot myself while researching and writing the script for this video (which is 64 kB of plain text BTW - I'll also publish it along with the final edit.)

Once again - thank you for your support and I hope you're going to find this video worth your time.
