Typeandkey has imperiled us all.  As you well know, just seeing a wendigo spells your doom ...

So, everyone who looked might as well get ready for the inevitable.  Hope you're not afraid of heights.  It will be easier if you know the traditional liturgy, so repeat after me:

"O!"

"O, my feet!"

Adorable! I love it. Thank you very much. I recently read Algernon Blackwood's 'The Wendigo' story. It's actually what prompted this request. I really enjoyed the story, but I was surprised by his portrayal of the wendigo as a vaguely defined trickster/nature spirit. Up until that point every depiction of the wendigo I'd ever seen portrayed them as cannibal demons. The very first time I'd even heard of a wendigo was a tv special of allegedly true stories covering cannibal cases from Canada during the frontier era.

The "tricks" it pulls are far from benign though. Blackwood knew the secret technique of "not showing too much of the monster" because the Unknown is always scarier than a CG effect or a guy in a rubber suit.
