Simple Gifts (Patreon)

The freshest possible audio post!  It was recorded earlier today, "live" at a rehearsal of the Appomattox Laptop Orchestra.  Cindy Redding played dulcimer, Lois Eaton played bass dulcimer, and I played tenor guitar.

The tune is an old Shaker melody.  The Shakers, if you didn't know, were a social experiment / religious community that had dozens of colonies throughout America during the movement's heyday in the 1800s .. but they died out in the 1920s, mainly because one of their rules required men & women to stay separate.
