BASTL Tea Kick weirdness (Patreon)

The alien voice in my audio post "The Sermon" earlier this week was generated by Tea Kick, processed through two band-pass filters.

What else would you guys like to see / hear?  I'm open to suggestions.

The problem you mention halfway sounds like processed noise so there is some noise source in there. 🤔 You can literally change the color of the noise.

Also, yes at 8 minutes looks a lot like harmonic resonance. And the fart is when the resonance is barely kept. I agree on the fascination.

At 10 minutes you have a low pass filter resulting in a standard pitch... which, however seems too high, notice as the tuning goes under the threshold of the filter it actually sounds like it should, otherwise it has no effect? But that also implies that the tuning is applied before the filter and that there is something after the filter which takes the locked wave and turns it much more high pitched and it's not the tuning... as it has no effect. Weird. 🤔

So the experiment you make at 11:20 seems like a non sustaining resonance as it keeps stable until it changes... so unless you were doing stuff not visible on camera.... it seems werid... because you should hear a gradual shift, unless there is a lot of different sines.

Given the noise and the werid stuff which you never heard anybody else talking about... I suggest you take a good look inside, it might be physically dirty and/or have faulty soldering, if it is dirty and you like this sound... never even dust it, but anyway the sound will invariably change over time as the dirt gets moved around by the sound and more dust deposits over the components. If it's improperly soldered, then treasure this one of a kind. 😉👍
