Way back in the 1990s I got a Fostex 4-track cassette deck with a variable speed control, and I used it to record this little dialogue snippet between myself and a cartoon squirrel whom I named Philo "Action J" Squoil.  If you listen closely you can hear the tape motor switching on and off, and my stepmom chopping vegetables in the background.

Sadly, Philo is no longer with me, because I don't have the equipment required to do his voice.  Digital pitch-shifting just doesn't sound right, and there's a particular thing he does with his teeth, which can only be achieved with sped-up tape.

However, I have a bunch (maybe 30-45 minutes worth?) of these conversations archived on CDs spanning back over the past 20 years .. so if there's interest I will dredge them up and burn them to MP3 for your listening "enjoyment."  Look / listen for them in the $3 audio tier.

It is possible to make new stuff like this, but it'll have to be characters other than Philo.

While I would LOVE to hear more, I... think I would first need to actually become a Patron of at least the $3 tier before I can truly request something like that from you. Rest assured, though, I am interested! I just need a steady income again before I can start offering patronage in general.
