Update on everything going on (Patreon)

stuff isn't going 100% my way. Recordings are going a bit slow, partially due to my health, partially due to my neighbors (my neighbor downstairs is a 90+ year old woman that is hard of hearing and she has been giften a 5.1 surround sound system some time ago... I find it interesting that I can listen to TV programs even though I have not had a satelite dish or cable connected in a decade!)

The weather is also a huge issue right now and quite a bit frustrating. I had planned to record chapter 24 of Heroes yesterday, and literally the moment I sat down to do so, it started to hail and storm outside. (And since I live on the 3rd floor, I would have had quite creepy wind howling in the recording.)

As my health insurance has contacted me yesterday, and wants me to go into a medical rehab (basically a lot of sports and stuff with pain specialists observing me), there is also another problem coming up. They will send me the documents via mail and I will have to fill them out. 

In itself, this is not a problem. Once I go on rehab for my back though, that will. If they send me to the same clinic I was at before, and I don't see why they wouldn't, then I will not really have internet there. (There is internet for the patients, but its a hot mess even to check emails there, not to mention uploading anything bigger than a low rez picture.

I've always been honest and upfront with you guys, and those of you who remember the last time I had to go into rehab for my heart, will remember that it took roughly 6 weeks, and that there was barely any output from me during that time. 

If I have to go to the same clinic, this will, more than likely, be the case again. I will try to record some while I am there (though I ask for forgiveness if I don't manage as much since, from experience, I know that the doctors there do keep you busy from 7 in the morning to 6 in the evening.) 

And for those who say "well, you could simply use your phone as a hotspot". Well... That is partiall true, but wouldn't really make a difference. The clinic in in the middle of the woods... on top of a mountain. Far away from anything you'd call "civilization". Just getting a cell signal at this place is a bit of a problem, so getting a mobile internet connection going up there is a serious issue. I tried last time, and was not even able to listen to a YouTube video.

The only way to do some uploads during that time would be to record and edit in the clinic and then drive home on the weekends to upload stuff. Patients there are allowed to do that on sundays as long as the diagnosis allows it. Problem with this is, that the 3 hour (1 way) trip is not viable at current gas prices. Especially if you take into cosideration that I pay roughly 80€ to fill up my car once.

So here is what is going to happen:

 - Before I go into rehab, I will do my best to top you guys off with stories to tide you over while I am in rehab

- I will take my recording Laptop with me to rehab and record when I can

 - When I return, I will upload everything that I have recorded DURING rehab in one go. 

I really hope that this will be acceptable to everyone. I will update you on these things as they happen, as I have always done. Hope you all are good. I shall now drag my fat bottom to the shower and get ready for my doctors appointment in an hour.
