OK, soooo yeah.... Looks like I was able to safe all my files from my main Laptop. Problem is, all it seems to do now is beep and the screen stays white ^^"

So it looks like I'll have to work with this machine for a while longer. It's seriously irritating, since the virtual machine in which I edit plays the audio out of synch and I haven't found a solution yet. I was also working on a story... kinda... and now all that I have written so far is Gibberish. (The recovered file is full of ASCII code and only a few actual words, so go figure)
