Today's The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation also known as Orange Shirt Day.

It's a day to remember indigenous folks in Canada who were put through the residential school system. Where white Canadian Christians took children and attempted to "white wash" and "make them pure to god" by taking away their beliefs, way of speaking and everything that made them indigenous.

My Grandfather was a part of these schools along with his Father as children and I care a lot about remembering these things and bringing awareness.
