For anyone interested in actual Traditional Catholic writing from the latter half of the 20th Century on the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ, here is Abp. Marcel Lefebvre's book, They Have Uncrowned Him: https://youtu.be/ZffTygRYbNQ If you, dear reader, are not aware of the doctrinal challenges to Vatican II from within the Church (exemplified by Abp. Lefebvre, now propounded even further by a professor of mine, Peter Kwasniewski), it would be helpful to actually learn about these matters, and not to pay too much heed to the detractors of the SSPX. The calumnies and defamations made against the SSPX are similar to the Covid narrative, the narrative lemmings cannot actually repeat the real objections being levied from Tradition nor hold them in their minds. The point-by-point issues taken with the robber council of Vatican II may be found in the book, I Accuse The Council! https://youtu.be/yTKc7bAO4Dw For the storyline specifically of the Revolution in the Church for a lay audience, with an emphasis on liturgy, living the Faith, etc, Abp. Lefebvre's book, Open Letter To Confused Catholics, may be found here: https://youtu.be/XcG733oDZ58

Imo Liberalism was steadily born out of a compromise to end sectarian violence WITHIN Christianity. I have seen many people try to counter the “slave morality” narrative of Christianity fleshed out by Nietzsche & Spengler; I’ve yet to see anyone truly come to terms with the critique of Liberalism as a compromise post-thirty year war…

The definitive late millenial movie might have been Napolean Dynamite.
