I Tried New Coloring And All I Got Was This Grayscale (Patreon)
Content
Well I tried a new coloring technique. As you can see, it didn't work out 😂
No but for real though, turns out not all processes work for everyone! Who would have thought. I was supposed to do all the shading and values in graytones first, then add the colors. My brain got the first part just fine, but when I went to add the colors.... Let's just say I'm too embarrassed to even think how they look 🫠 BUT I REALLY LIKE THIS GRAYSCALE I GOT OUT OF IT! This Enji was a sketch I made last spring, I'm sure some of you remember the original, I just snatched that to have a base to practice on.
I'm not too bummed out about not figuring it out, I'll just try something else next. I just think it's absolutely hilarious that I go in expecting to do stunning colors and walk out with black&white 😂
You people who do visual arts, how do you feel about coloring, following tutorials, etc.? Any similar experiences? I'm curious now!
