I'm thinking of this is kind of an AU in which Hawks lays unfertilized eggs and gets the spring hornies, but had that part of him supressed/eased with meds he got from commission. And when the comission falls and he goes off the meds... well, it all hits way harder. Also he would have no idea if his eggs actually even could get fertilized, How would that even work???
