And honestly when I'm not filming/editing or doing whatever with Nolan, I am 100% playing Honkai Star Rail for HOURS LMAO.

It has been on my mind and I have watched this reaction to the deleted scenes twice and I wonder if these scenes that don't make sense happened in the year phan fa was in china. I'm sure they did visit each other because like you said China is not that far. They probably already had a time line and a number of episodes set so they just removed the scenes shown here from the year abscence. Just my thought. I also think and hope that in the dissappearing plane was a mis translation and they meant the plane crashed and there was still no word about survivors. Because like you all said..how does a plane just dissapear. Also Phan fa could have already been on the flight and not heard about the "dissapearing plane" until he had already landed and just wanted to get to puhpa as fast as possible to let him know that he was ok but didn't think to call/text puhpa that he was alright.

The deleted scenes are from the 2 episode prequel of The Promise.
