One of the best parts of watching TED-Ed Club Talks surface from all over the world is getting to watch passionate young people explore their own creative solutions to the world's problems. From inventing ways to recycle styrofoam, to imagining ways to eradicate waterborne diseases, students are taking their ideas seriously in a way that benefits us all.

So today we wanted to share Akash Manoj's Talk with you. After his grandfather suffered from a massive silent heart attack when Akash was 13 years old, Akash spent 3 years researching silent heart attacks with the hope of inventing a device that could give at-risk patients a warning if they are about to suffer from heart failure. He succeeded!

Here is Akash's original Talk, delivered in his classroom at school. Once news of Akash's research began to circulate, however, Akash was invited to speak at a TEDx event in Mumbai, India. Here is the Talk Akash delivered on the TEDx stage.

According to Akash, "The TEDEd Club at my school played a key role in nurturing me to give 'the talk of my life' before an enthralling audience comprised of 5,500 attendees." We are so proud and grateful to have been part of Akash's journey.

The former president of India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee, awarded Akash the  National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement 2017, for his excellence in the field of Innovation --the highest honor that the Indian government can bestow upon a student.

We hope that Akash's experience, his hard work, creativity and dedication might inspire other students around the world to believe in their own ideas enough to pursue them. We're counting on those ideas to help build a brighter future. And it is our hope that the TED-Ed Clubs program can aid students in developing and sharing those ideas with the world.
