dragonsandstories

As the Shriekclaw closes in on its prey, its eyes narrow and its muscles tense, ready to strike. Its breaths come in short, ragged bursts, and a low growl rises from deep within its chest. Suddenly, it emits a piercing shriek that echoes through the forest, causing the prey to freeze in terror. The sound is like nothing the prey has ever heard before - a high-pitched, guttural noise that sends shivers down their spine. As the Shriekclaw draws closer, the sound intensifies, becoming louder and more frenzied with each passing second. The prey can feel the sound reverberating through their bones, their ears ringing with the force of it. It's as if the Shriekclaw is screaming directly into their ear, its voice filling their head with a primal, animalistic terror.
