"Yeah, you know. I got a magical girl dropped on me, I got TURNED INTO a magical girl, a talking cat is living in my house, and I've stupidly agreed to go on a date with my boss. Oh, and an evil eldritch abomination erased my entire life and replaced it with a girl's, and I have ZERO idea on how to properly girl. "But I'm fine."

2023-07-07 23:00:59 As a woman with 3 foot long wavy hair, I cringed so hard at Scarlett. Lol Edit: Also a lot of people don't realize that wavy hair is a type of curly hair and has special hair care needs. Scarlett's hair looks like type 2A curls and so many women with curls that mild try to treat their hair like straight hair but that is a recipe for disaster. My hair is 2B and for years I was doing everything wrong since my mother has straight hair and I was never taught to take care of it properly. Edit 2: Looking closer I think her hair might be 2B it's just that since it hasn't been maintained properly some of its curliness has basically converted to unruliness. Edit 3: If she was one of my friends I would recommend a satin sleep bonnet, switching to a cowash instead of a shampoo, getting a brush meant for detangling curly hair, and avoiding dry brushing when possible (she should do most of her brushing in the shower while her hair is saturated with conditioner and using a brush meant for wet brushing curly hair). If she did all that she would probably see a big improvement in her hair. I would also recommend she avoid getting the clorinated pool water on her hair, but that seems like a lifestyle change that might not be worth it to her.

Also interesting, I was aware long hair took more care and certain things like perms had their own requirements. I didn't realize curly hair has its own distinctions.

@Senko Yeah natural curly hair requires way more effort and knowledge than straight hair. A lot of women who think they just have frizzy hair actually have poorly maintained wavy hair that would be beautiful if they knew how to take care of it properly. The biggest thing about taking care of curly hair is what you don't do to it; there are a bunch of things that are fine or even helpful for straight hair that are so awful for curly hair.

I do still find myself wondering if that sugar daddy comment might not have more truth than Scarlett likes given she's now historically a woman and was concerned enough to ask her friends if it was appropriate.
