In everyone else's eyes, everything is completely normal, but Vlad has a slight sensitivity to magic and Scott's body is getting used to its new powers, so the 'everything is totally normal' field isn't working 100% on Vlad. Scott is also going to have to get through an entire work day before Simon can tell him what is going on!
