To get a sense of how much faster I can render than draw, I originally rendered the poses for nearly all of the races up to the Blaze/Fire Elemental back in February.

After I caught up my drawing phase to the Slime, and redid the Slime sequence with that detour, I had another look at the Ice and Fire Elementals. I wasn't happy with the Ice Elemental's face, I had forgotten to render the transition sequence for the fire elemental into the race after that, and hadn't saved the various effect textures I had used to create the fire elemental. In other words had to rebuild the fire elemental, and decided to redo Ice at the same time and make Fire a little bit simpler. Also if the Ice Elemental's new body shape looks a bit familiar, it's because when I re-rendered them, I used Fiona's body model as a base for these two.
