So this was a 3 series cross over with Geats Revice and Ryuki. Ryuki had a similar premise to Geats so to celebrate its 20th anniversary they brought all the heavy hitters for this movie. Side note take note on dark Keiwa.

Technically, all Riders have their own universe/timelines though some do crossover or share a world (mostly depending on the story). Sometimes it's canon and sometimes it's not so it's a bit of a coin flip on what is part of continuity. I just treat it as they are separate until a special occasion comes up. In the past, movies/specials were often self-contained and didn't bleed into the main story, some of which are alternate timelines or "What if...?" scenarios. They have slowly become more part of the main story for seasons, though sometimes they still do alternate timelines or unrelated events. Can be a bit of a headache if one becomes necessary to continue the season as critical information could be solely in the movie/special (looking at you Gotchard). Anyway, glad the older Riders caught your interest for any future viewing. The same happened for me when I watched Kamen Rider Decade, who was my first Rider season, as that was an anniversary season using alternate versions of past Riders to not spoil them, but also get you interested in them. Don't worry too much if you learn about a Rider before watching their season as you can still have fun experiencing their journey. With that said, still avoid watching Kamen Rider Zi-O until you've watched a good chunk of Riders before that season as it spoils heavily and is treated as a continuation of most of those seasons.

Man I love that you guys watched this and its a good as is. But its unfortunate how much context you missed from Revice. This movie consistently makes me cry my eyes out with how it ties up Revice. I would recommend trying to watch earlier seasons now that you have a taste of Rider so you can watch these movies with full context.

Out of the Main Kamen Riders Geats is definitely the coldest I have seen. There are other Riders that can match up to him if you include secondary riders though. Most Season will have Keiwa type be the main, Example the Red Ryuki.

I would say in the future it's ok for you guys to avoid crossover movies in the future if you haven't seen the seasons involved. Most crossover movies do canonically take place at a certain point in a series, but even in this movie most of the time there isn't a ton of main plot information you will be missing out on if you skip them, cause usually they do write the main seasons to stand on their own, you don't *need* to watch the side contents until after the season. I think skipping them for now makes for a smoother viewing experience not having to keep track of all the side content and it will help you avoid major spoilers from past seasons, cause this movie does spoil revice pretty heavily as it assumes you've already watched it. There will def be people who disagree and want y'all to watch em but i'd rather you guys not spoil yourself on past rider seasons tbh.

Please watch Faiz (555) after Geats. It's a totally different vibe and the 20th anniversary sequel movie came out this year as well with new suits so there's content after the show. :D Kind of a dark series but the main rider is a straight up brawler.

Takumi from Faiz is definitely colder. He's black air force rider.

Honestly this is one of my favorite Kamen Rider Winter movies. I absolutely hate it when these movies separate the two Rider series in the first two acts, and only REALLY get together in the climax... So any deviation from this setup is always a win. That being said... I did like how they did devote Act 1 to Revice's cast. I'm not opposed to one act being devoted to one Rider Team, especially if it acts as little After-Series special since it's always fun to see what Riders are up to once their show ends. ...But it was really nice to see that cliffhanger leading right into Act 2, rather than be put on hold until Act 3. While sometimes these movies have exclusive forms, or are early sneak peaks at near-future upgrades, it's really nice when they do stuff like give Ikki and Revice a Desire Driver and have them enter the DGP. As for Ryuki's involvement... Well, I'm kind of glad they were mostly cameos. Maybe they could have benefitted from having a little more of a spotlight... or perhaps they could have shown up in Act 1 as well. I just feel like focusing too much time on them wouldn't have been the best option. But it was nice to see them in action! That being said, I'm sure you'd notice that one CHONKY Purple Rider. Apparently the suit actor recently had bulked up.

It's tricky because you can technically start anywhere in the kamen universe. Period piece stuff from the originals are my favorite. I miss that gritty grindhouse gruff from 70s & 80s kanen shows. New stuff is great though, especially crime fighting with technology an social media now.

It's great to know you can jump around in the timeline, even with chronological rules of the kamen universe. What I've been enjoying is, in the middle of episode you might get a present origin. Sometimes you get filler but no arc is ever wasted.

Kamen Rider Reiwa Era brought me back into watching Kamen Rider Revice is what mad me come back into Kamen Rider. But Geats is definitely the best season of Kamen Rider Reiwa Era. Can’t for you to react to Kamen Rider Gavv which has a candy theme.
