I really want to do some Mercy of overwatch but copyright are rather annoying in this game, any idea?

If you are drawing a picture, copyright shouldn't be an issue. The copyright for overwatch is mostly against Source Film Maker works, not drawings/art. However if you are worried just don't post it to tumblr, and keep it on HF and Patreon.

They were only really going after the CG porn that was using in-game models, I beleive people post erotic art of the series all the time with no problems.

HF and Patreon is safe under artistic freedom act. Also OW only goes after users that directly rip models from the game. So go wild With Mercy or any of the Overwaifus! Mercy's halloween costume is really cool too

As the others stated, they are only going after artists who ripped the direct models and either used those or edited them. Normal artists are safe, so go ahead. I can see you wanting to do a set with her new Halloween costume for sure.
