Just thought I'd drop a quick pic from the development of the third match and ramble on a bit about some production stuff.

This picture won't be used for the match (though one very similar to it will be) but it almost snuck it's way in because of something I really need to get better looking out for.

If you look at the picture, you'll see that Bonnie's hand has some purple things poking out from her glove. Those are her talons that are part of her current outfit. They're so long that when she makes a tight fist like she's doing in the picture they poke out through her hand.

That's bad.

It's not something that's hard to remedy, I just need to choose a looser closed fist for that pose, but the problem is that it almost went unnoticed. Why? Because when I was posing this shot I was focused on getting her elbow in the right place. After I got it where I wanted it, the shot looked fine, so I captured the render.

I didn't see the talons poking through the hand because that part of the screen is usually covered with one of the tool windows from the program I'm posing them in. Both the top right and bottom left of the screen are usually covered by boxes, so I can't see what's there at a glance.

Can I hide the UI and see the whole screen? Sure I can! But why would I do that? I mean.. it's not like there's any talons poking through hands anywhere, is there?

So yeah.. most of the time when something doesn't look right it will almost certainly be in either the top right or bottom left of the screen. I'm trying to get better at checking everything before I render it, but I sometimes get too focused on something else and just forget.

The worst is when I pose an entire shot, then start posing the next shot without remembering to actually capture the previous shot. This has happened waaaay more than I'd like to admit, and I hate it.

Okay, I've rambled on enough. If you actually read this far, I'll let you know that tomorrow I'm going to post another unused picture from this match, but it's a bit more revealing than this one!
