I suspect you’ll be pleased to hear that I have found a new retoucher with very competitive prices, not to replace Alex  but to supplement him, as he is simply not coping with the backlog and would in any case cost me a small fortune if he did!

So this retoucher comes with good credentials, as well as competitive prices. She’s on Purpleport and I discovered her only yesterday as she had an offer to do 25 images for £25. She’s is tagged in 108 FPIs, which means her work is good quality and clearly liked by purpleporters.  However, as I’m a little more demanding than Purpleporters, I sent her a challenging image to test edit (the third image in this post - especially the shadows in the face due to strong sun, although it was only 8am no one to help with my reflector and no flash, which I sometimes use outdoors to soften shadows in strong sun).

She first came up with the second image, which is good in terms of colour balance and cropping but I felt it was over smoothed. Also she removed Julia’s trademark mole, which is a no no for me.  So I asked  her to address and she came up with the first images, which I think is fine.  Perhaps not as high quality as Alex’s but certainly good enough.

What do you think?
