I find making behind the scenes videos, especially outdoors, very challenging. The reason is that I always move around the model a lot in order to get nice angles. As a result,  more often than not, my behind the scenes video has a lot of my back or me popping in and out, ruining the view of a beautiful model.  Which takes time to address by deleting parts of the video and joining bits together. By the time I do this, the end product can be pretty short.  At other times the model moves and I forget to move the video camera so my behind the scenes is mostly about the location and not the model!

This time was different.  I set the video camera on the ground and Ashley remained in frame throughout the five minutes of the video, even though she moved around a little. And although you occasionally get to see parts of me, I don’t think I’m a big distraction unless you really hate hairy mens legs 😆.

Another challenge of shooting by the water is that the sounds of the sea make it harder to hear the clicks of the camera, which is very important for the model so that she changes pose. So I needed to say click, every time I clicked!

Do let me know what you think of this one please!
