A photographer’s birthday (Patreon)

Jasmine and I arrived in Dubai early morning on Sunday 9 January, the day of my ??rd birthday.  
I wasn’t planning to do any shoots on that day as we were both tired from the overnight flight but having a genuine passion for photography I couldn’t resist the temptation to capture the magic of our new destination.  

We stayed at the Sofitel Palm Jumeirah, which meant we had access to a private beach with views across the palm on one side and the Dubai boardwalk on the other side of the hotel.  So first took in some views of the beach, then a walk on the boardwalk to get a feeling of our location and after a little rest, enjoying the golden hour on the beach. I started taking pics with my iPhone but there were so many sea gulls flying around I had to take the camera out from my backpack. By the way the back pack is always with me, all my valuables and photographic equipment readily accessible. Always.

And then the lovely Jasmine started capturing me in action on my iPhone.  I wasn’t planning at all to shoot her on that day but, much like me and my photography, Miss High has a genuine passion for modelling. So we ended the day with a little bikini shoot on the beach.  And finally a lovely seafood dinner to celebrate my birthday. 

Although a little tired from the flght and jet lag, this was one of the most memorable birthdays of my life!
