For the love of Apollo (Patreon)

This was such a risqué affair! Timing was everything.  i wanted to shoot Aphrodite (Tanya) worshipping Apollo in the nude at Apollo sanctuary.  Only the sanctuary is an official archaeological site that tends to attract a lot of tourists.  So timing was everything. And we did get it right. It was November, it was Saturday and it was the time when tourists have lunch. The sun sky high of course but unless we avoided the crowds we couldn’t do nudes.  Fortunately there were no tourists and the guard was in their booth, reading some magazine, they didn’t bother us.  But we had to be quick and we had to be on the lookout. We managed to do a lot in around 15 minutes, then someone arrived and Tanya had to wear her dress, chosen for its ease of putting on!

So there it is, photography isn’t just about technique, it’s also about getting locations and timings right.

These three images from that shoot are professionally retouched by Alexander Fess.  As I have to pay for that (150 euros for 30 images) and much more besides, in order to achieve such images, I thank you again for your support and I dare ask you to spread the word!
