I also feel like Gabriel was upset that May's leveraged Gracie to Aaron which made Aaron have to really weigh the odds. There was tension after that scene

I think Mays and his brother were both bad news. Maybe not irredeemable, but bad news nonetheless. The brother might have chosen to shoot his family over himself, but Mays was still pretty sick for forcing him to play that game. Really enjoyed this one! I can't say the same about some of the other "bonus" episodes..

I forgot how amazing this episode is. At first I was alarmed by what Gabe did, but when you think about it, Mays is not the type of guy you would allow to live next door to your girlfriend newborn daughter. Cruel? Yes. The right call? Also yes.

If I understood well, Mays (or Mase) is the one who killed his brother’s wife and kid let their bodies rot in front of him to make him suffer more. That is cruelty at its best. Or I am wrong and the brother played Russian roulette and chose his own life but then had to still watch what he did for years. Both brother were crazy. I agree with Gabe , they couldn’t bring him to Alexandria. What makes us uncomfortable is how convincing Gabe was to only kill him afterwards. If it was Rick or Negan we wouldn’t be that surprised or disappointed. Gabe is savage now 😂. Love this episode 🙌🏾

How I understood it was that the brother made them play Russian roulette because of him attacking him for the food. I assume the first brother was probably in a horrible way and seeing as he had a kid, I would think he probably was doing it to get food for the child. But maybe I'm overthinking it. Either way, Gabe was right. He couldn't be trusted. Clearly. And after Mays made them play that game, I don't blame Gabe for what he did.

I felt like it was obvious they wouldn´t bring him with them, Alexandria is in a really bad place with four communities merged and low in food, they are in no place to take random people, specially this guy. But Gabriel´s character will never stop to amaze me, let´s remember how we found him in season 5, and look at him now, both Gabe and Aaron have one of the best character developments in the show, but that´s just TWD, they write character developments like no one else.

I agree about everything especially about the character development in TWD. We can say what we want about this show, the cinematography, the storylines, but the characters are awesome and most of them who are still here have amazing developments.

Preacher

Personally, this is around the part of the show where it just became a little too frustrating to watch. The writers keep asking for a lot in terms suspending disbelief, and they started wanting more and doing it fairly often as well. In this particular episode the whole russian roulette thing was hard to watch, because at any point the characters could/would most likely have seen which part of the cylinder the bullet was in, hence there was really no anxiety or suspense in the scene at all. Things like that just bother me and I can't help it. Luckily there are a couple great episodes to come, mainly HCN and OTI, that alleviate the struggle a bit.
