OHMYGOODNESS! I'm so ready!!!

Tylor Smith

Is this show good. Literally just started breaking bad ?

Angelina Sargent

I've been refreshing this page for 2 hours... for the walking dead. Hahah I'm so excited to see your finale!!!!

Ugly Pig

Yes, it's good. But you should ignore its existance until you've watched all of Breaking Bad.

very very good, watch breaking bad first though. Breaking bad and better call saul are my favorite shows of all time, the only flawless films i've seen

Tylor Smith

Yeah I know it's a prequel to it. Just finished season 1 of breaking bad. Started two days ago. Will definitely keep going. Thanks for the help

Angelina Sargent

I literally was gonna ask this question as well... do you need to watch breaking bad to watch this series? Cause I tried to watch breaking bad like 10 Years ago but it left a really bad taste in my mouth due to some traumatic experiences regarding meth in a previous life. I literally couldn't get into the story because of it.

Froziac

Obviously ideally its good to watch Breaking Bad before this, but apart from some parts of the last season, for the rest of the show if you watch it before, the main thing you'll notice is like an epic shot for someone you don't know about. Its a prequel, it tells a very good self contained story, and it'll be fascinating to watch without knowing who makes it through. So especially cos of the meth thing you will still enjoy this without BB, imo.

Superdork3k

always kinda hoped for Lalo to live i liked him lmao

Superdork3k

also its been years since ive seen breaking bad so i could just be talking out of my ass but when then lab was destroyed im pretty sure hank said there were 2 bodies recovered from the site

Shadoe Price

Those bodies were the guards that Walter shot before they destroyed the lab. Howard and Lalo are buried feet below the foundation of the lab, their corpses aren't going to be found unless people were specifically looking for them.

Superdork3k

ahhhh ye i dont remember walt killing guards ive gotta rewatch and didnt even think about the fact they were a few feet below the foundation

I think the key to enjoying Better Call Saul is to avoid focusing on the plot points (e.g. "I know Mike/Gus doesn't die because he's in Breaking Bad"). Instead, the enjoyment comes from how the writers so skillfully weave details into the larger Breaking Bad saga, such as explaining the background to Saul's comment in BB about "It wasn't me, it was Ignacio!" (Another lovely detail: notice how Mike says "I assume stainless will do" wrt the refrigerator; he's talking abt the material, but Kim and Jimmy know that there's nothing stainless about the state of their souls.) The real miracle is that we were able to get 6 seasons of incredibly entertaining (and profound) TV out of a throw away comment by a supporting character in Breaking Bad. Most critics thought there was no way this show would ever work, but in my opinion this show is better written and fits together better than its predecessor. For me it has more rewatch value than any other TV series I've seen.

Also notice how Gus' eyes shine like a coati's when he's in the lab with Lalo.

You have a very unique opportunity, since most ppl who watched BCS inevitably saw Breaking Bad first. I would watch BCS up through s6e09, then watch Breaking Bad. Then I would finish BCS (e10-e13). And in response to your question: I think BCS is better than Breaking Bad. The writing/directing team (Gould, Schnauz, Gilligan, et al) is more experienced and sure-handed than they were on BB.

I just started watching breaking bad today finish watching first season interesting show

WalkingTaako

So this episode is the one where Bob Odenkirk had his near-fatal heart attack. He only survived because someone on set knew and performed CPR on him.

Anthony Ancona

Not much to say except excellent reaction. This was a sad and morbid episode.
