Thank you for answering that question ❤️ Cant spend to much time on posts cause of slight spoilers.

I remember when they released a photo from the movie in 2014, huge speculation about Gwen's jacket (similar to the one she had on when she died in the comics) foreshadowed her death, so it didn't surprise me when I went to see it. But your right it didn't help me like the movie any better.

Bradley Weeks

The actress playing Aunt May is Sally Field. She has been in a ton of other stuff and is one of my absolute favorites.

Bassorelli Chiara

You guys are working overtime with this reactions, I love it! I think Andrew Garfield´s spider man movies are a bit of a mess, but Andrew Garfield as Spider Man just kills, I love him.

Keith Duperreault

It was weird seeing Harry, at the end of the film, called 'Green Goblin' on his subtitles..... because in the comics, Norman, his father is the Green Goblin, and Harry eventually became 'The Hobgoblin'... I always thought, in this film, that he 'was' playing the role of Hobgoblin. Were those the real subtitles, or was it something you created just for this video?

Keith Duperreault

Hmm, yeah IMDB cast says Green Goblin also.... well, he was Hobgoblin in the comics. Guess they decided not to confuse the general public with different 'Goblin' villains, lol.

Landon DuVall

Great reaction. This is probably my least favorite Spiderman film, although I still enjoy it. You guys should watch Into the Spiderverse!!! I'm pretty sure it's a stand alone movie. With some fun references but nothing major.

Superdork3k

So glad you caught that the music was still playing when he took of the headphones most people dont even notice that

Hate Us Cuz They Aint Us

The reason there wasnt a third movie is becasue MCU wanted the rights to spiderman so he could join in Civil war and they wanted a younger actor with seperate story line so they cancelled TASM3 so there wasnt 2 seperate stories for spiderman coming out at once

Goldcrusty

"Amazing" reaction as always!! Btw Rob it was really nice you catching venom reference there!

Eefa

The Spiderverse sequel comes out in June :))

I remember seeing these 2 Spider-Man movies in the theater and this one displeased me. Electro, in my opinion, was a Palpatine rip-off. Green Goblin was a joke. This Spider-Man had a weak Anakin Skywalker motive, he couldn't say goodbye to Gwen Stacey just like Anakin couldn't say goodbye to Padme'. The funny thing is Anakin became a better villain, and I'm not saying this just because I am Darth Sidious...lol. For a Spider-Man movie it was campy fun, I love Sally Field as aunt May, the Actor who played Harry was a good anti-hero and I agree he has a unique face, his name is Dane DeHaan. I Wikipediaed him, apparently he does of artsy movies that aren't widely released in theaters. To me that is sad as he could be a good actor, but I am not going to hunt for his work.

Mark Bigwood

He is in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which is pretty good.

Anthony Ancona

I will take your word on that. I may look into those films, but to my point those films weren't mainstream in theaters to the best of my recollection. I still agree with Rob and Trin, he was good acting as Harry but as the Green Goblin not so much. He probably did the best he could with the script.

Thadman

Actually, I think that Harry was actually Green Goblin also. I believe Ned Leeves was Hobgoblin.

I can't really rewatch Spider-Man 3. I really dislike that one. Too many villains. I knew what happened to Gwen Stacy in the comics from reading the "Marvels" comic in the 90s. It was painted by Alex Ross, who actually paints characters with real life people as models, so they look realistic rather than cartoony. Anyway, reading that story where Green Goblin kills Gwen Stacy seem SO shockingly sad, and that was just reading a comic. Besides his origin, this is probably THE biggest event in Spider-Man's life that it changed him moving forward. Probably similarly to how Uncle Ben's death changed him. The mini-series "Marvels" that I mentioned was four issues and they were all painted and had to do with different popular stories from Marvel Comics history, but this time all told from one man's POV who was a photo-journalist and saw these events through time. They were all, basically, narrated by this guy and explained the situation from a regular person's perspective. First issue was about him being there when the first Human Torch was discovered back in the 40s. There is an Easter Egg in the first Captain America movie for him when Steve and Bucky go to the World Expo with their dates and see Howard Stark showing his prototype flying car. There's a glass cylinder the camera pans down on right before that that looks like there's a mannequin in it with a skintight red outfit on that says above it "The Synthetic Man." In the "Marvels" issue, they were showing off the first android at the Expo and when they turned him on and opened the cylinder and oxygen came in, he burst into flames. Freaked everyone out. It was some flaw in his design, but since it didn't harm him, he didn't get it fixed and he became the first Human Torch. The 2nd issue had to do with the birth of the mutants and The X-Men, in the 60s, and how the mutants were feared and hated by some and discriminated against. The third one had to do with The Fantastic Four and the fourth one with Spidey, Goblin & Gwen Stacy. The over all feeling that spanned through all four, from a regular person's perspective, was fear and or panic of the world with all of these "marvels" and how dangerous and terrifying it is for the regular people that have to now dodge parts of falling buildings or vehicles being flung or some other crazy thing. I don't remember a lot of specifics but I do remember panels of the painted artworks like Gwen Stacy with a big bright smile and her arms out with her head tilted up in the rain and the narrator saying something about how anyone and everyone who knew her said that she was just a ray of sunshine and she was fairly well known being the daughter of the chief of police. He also described how harrowing it was with Spider-Man fighting Goblin on the Brooklyn Bridge (like in the first Spider-Man movie where he strung up a cable car full of people and pitted it against MJ's life) and in the comic he had to choose between Gwen and the cable car and he tried to save both, but in catching Gwen with the web, the narrator said that everyone was holding their breath and then there was a audible SNAP and everyone gasped. He said that no one knew for sure what happened but it certainly looked and sounded like her neck snapped. Like here, Spider-Man wasn't seen for a while and when he came back, he was different and the city was different and was split as to whether they blamed him or not. Chief Stacy did and therefore the police department did. "Marvels" was a GREAT series and felt like a realistic telling of some of the most monumental stories of Marvel Comics that did not hold back on the darkness of the situations.
