In regards to Kim liking Jimmy as a younger brother, I disagree. They're not in a serious romantic relationship but it does seem like they are attracted to each other and quite possibly have fooled around in the past. In the 1st episode that Jimmy calls Kim late at night from the nail salon, and Kim says she's not going to talk dirty to him, as if she has done this before? They may have some history (cf. reference to “sexy robot voice” during the Kettleman fiasco) She also kissed Jimmy on the mouth after she found out he passed the bar. So at the very least, they were involved in a casual relationship.

Agreed. The relationship doesn't have the chemistry that convinces the viewer right away, but you get all the clues from the beginning. I suspect that it's because both Jimmy and Kim are strong, independent personalities (and she's like a 10 while he only looks like Kevin Costner in the dark after closing time). It's easy to spot a relationship when the woman obviously adores the man and the man lets down his emotional walls around her. It's harder when it's real people who work in an environment where they need to be professional all the time.
