Guys I feel like you missed a bit of plot there - when the queen confronted Criston about Rhaenyra she was only meaning to ask about Daemon, but because she never explicitly said his name Criston jumped the gun and admitted it was him. That’s why she’s so shocked! She had no idea it was him as well. Sent with love Xxxxxxxxx

LOL, Rob, you liking a character, no matter the show, really never ends well. You should really perhaps try not to like anyone anymore. Also, Joffry only overplayed his hand like that, because he wanted to protect the one he loved. From his point of view, it was the safest bet, as he presumed that Criston's honor as a knight would still be intact. But at that point Criston clearly felt as if it was gone already anyway for himself, but then just snapped at the idea of someone else possibly letting it be known. But it's not more or less stupid than Criston immediately spilling the beans to Alicent when she was being vague enough for Criston to have the worry that it was about him, when it simply wasn't. Now, I feel like Alicent just basically recruited a knight, whom's honor is broken and is absolutely desperate to get it back no matter what. Which is a very, very dangerous combination. And one that I fear she could easily turn against Rhaenyra now as well.

Another Joeffry dies in a grizzly way at a royal wedding... perhaps in this world, all the Joeffries should stay away of royal weddings. It never ends well for them.

Alicent's dress is very significant. For one, When the Hightowers prepare for war, they call their banners by lighting a large green flame. Her dress is signifying her calling her banners for battle. Viserys is particularly shocked because Alicent is also his wife, and during big occasions like this, it is customary for the Targaryens to wear their house colors of red/black. By all rights, Alicent should be wearing the Targaryen colors. But she purposely separated herself from the Targaryen house by wearing her house color green. So she's not only separating herself from her Targaryen side here, but signaling she stands with House Hightower, who wants Aegon on the throne. And yes, dismissing Otto was definitely a trigger. He was the 2nd most powerful man in Westeros who faithfully served them for years. He was being truthful in what he'd informed the King of, and he was unjustly fired for it. He is also the Grandfather to Aegon, who by the laws of gods and men, is the rightful heir to the throne. So they not only dismissed a Hightower from the 2nd most powerful position in their nation, but also took out one of Aegon's most useful allies. Not to mention he's the Queen's father. It was as much a chess move to secure Rhaenyra's claim as any, and Alicent backed Rhaenyra over her father thinking he had been misled, when really it was she who'd been lied to.

Haven’t even started, I’m still on episode 4 of your reaction😂 but OMG! I was so rooting for Rhaenyra, I was like YES GIRL, GET THAT D!!! I can understand why she lied, I would have lied too. But swearing on her mom? Really? I didn’t like that at all. I would be FURIOUS if I was Alicent though because she trusted her as a friend.

GREAT RESPONSE!!!! You hit it right on the nose. Otto got played for sure, I felt really bad. He told the truth and lost his job for it. And the Queen backed up her friend instead of her father….

Rune

Imagine a world where a large majority were colour blind. How mad would the ones who saw colour appear to the others?

There are people who see odors. It's kinda like what you said. They must have an interesting live and experiences.

Just a couple of details to clarify a couple of your comments. Daemon’s wife was from House Royce. She was set to inherit the property known as Runestones. BTW, House Royce is famous for their bronze armor that is engraved with ancient runes. You could runes on the costumes worn by Daemon’s wife Lady Rhea and her uncle. The Eyrie is the property of House Arryn, who is the primary house in the Vale. When Daemon was talking to his deceased wife’s uncle he said that he would be petitioning Lady Jeyne Arryn for his inheritance. As the individual with the highest authority in the Vale at that time, she is in the position to settle his inheritance of Runestone. But Daemon’s claim has nothing to do with the Eyrie. I expect that in future seasons you will get a fair bit more of jumping around Westeros and spending time with some of the other major houses. The reason for so many time jumps in this first season is to get through all of the character development and story that leads up to the Targaryen‘s Civil War known as the Dance of the Dragons. And while the central focus of the series will continue to be the Targaryens, you should get more of various spots in Westeros and more of other large houses in the following seasons.
