And THIS is why I never watched this final season before now. Personally, as much as I love Bellamy, I am ok with losing a main character and I DID enjoy the scifi plot of s7, but I just have to put this season at the lowest of my ranking, even after watching it. I was excited in the premiere seeing everyone living together but after that... it just lacked something all along. The biggest thing in a show for me is connecting to characters and Bellamy was nowhere to be seen only to get killed off? where even is Gaia?? did we really get to know Jordan? Clarke and Madi were separated, we had barely any Raven at all?? I liked having a bit more Murphy and getting to know Dyoza better but it still felt too disjointed for me and a few too many developments went out the window (with it being the final episodes and all). All in all I am not saying this has not been an enjoyable ending to a great ride, but I expected a bit more. Now, on towards the finale!

Honestly killing Bellamy ruined the show for me. I have some shows that I just rewatch once every few years. This used to be one of them until this point. I haven't rewatched it since other than this viewing with you guys. And I don't recommend it to people because it just ends so poorly. It's another example of how to take a great show and ruin it. Much like GoT or famously...HIMYM. And it's sad because this show could've gone down as one of the greats. Instead, it's mostly forgotten because the showrunner decided he hated Bob Morely and others like Ricky Whittle (Lincoln). He even hated the fans of the show. Said something along the lines of that at one point. Just an example of a shitty person running things into the ground to spite others.

Lol at the vitriol based on personal bias. None of us were there to have any first hand knowledge of what went on. Two sides to every story. Easier to take it out on the creator, the actors couldn't possibly have played a part. I can't imagine what it's like to deal with the constant haranguing by shippers. Tons of characters have died on the 100, in terrible senseless ways. Nothing new. Whoever thought that the 100 was a happy fantasy? It's about humanity repeating cycles of tragedy with some cool moments in-between. Always unpredictable. Always about loss and sacrifice and terrible choices. It could, and has, happen to any of them. Bellamy's end perfectly underscores all those themes. And as far as I can tell, more people have been watching The 100 than ever. It's remembered for its sci-fi, its dynamic women, Lexa, the way it flips perspectives, and its unrelenting choices.
