Bearer bonds are a type of security that is unregistered. In other words, whoever has physical possession of the bond is the owner (like cash). There are attached coupons that must be submitted to the bank in order to get dividends/interest payments. US government bonds aren't issued in bearer form anymore because it is so easy to use them in criminal enterprises. Speaking of crime, if you get arrested in the US you might be required to pay a large amount of money to stay out of jail until your court date after which the bail will be refunded. If you can't afford to pay, most states allow a bail bond agent to post a surety bond for the full amount in return for the defendant paying them a portion of the amount (usually 10%). The defendant usually has to have some sort of collateral to cover the rest in order for the bail bond agent to agree to the contract. When the bail is paid back by the court, the defendant gets their percentage, and the agent gets theirs. If the defendant "skips" or "jumps" bail by not showing up for their court date, the agent is informed by the court and has a certain period of time to get the person to show. Sometimes they send a bounty hunter to track the person down.
